If you normally drive an automatic at home, choosing one for your holiday can make the first journey from the airport easier. The important step is to request automatic transmission when you book, rather than hope to change cars on arrival.
At Conccordcars, automatic cars are available by vehicle group, subject to confirmation. Tell us your dates, passengers and luggage so we can check the right option for your trip.
Which automatic car should you request?
For one or two people travelling light, Group I is our smaller automatic option, with a Seat Ibiza Automatic or similar as the example. Group H, represented by a Skoda Scala Automatic or similar, offers more room without moving up to an SUV. The exact model depends on availability.
Group K is the automatic SUV option, represented by a Seat Ateca or similar. For families needing occasional extra seats, Group R is a VW Touran 5+2 or similar. With the additional seats in use, luggage space is limited: seven seats do not mean room for seven people and seven suitcases.
Plan around luggage, child seats and golf clubs
The airport journey is often when you need the most space. Tell us how many large and small bags you will bring, along with pushchairs, child seats or golf bags. Two golfers with suitcases may need more boot space than a family travelling with hand luggage.
Collection in La Manga, Murcia or Alicante
You can request an automatic for La Manga or La Manga Club, or arrange collection at Murcia Airport (RMU) or Alicante Airport (ALC). Give us your flight number and scheduled arrival time. We will confirm the vehicle group and collection arrangements personally; sending the website form is a request, rather than an automatic booking confirmation.
Book the transmission you need from the start
Automatic availability can be limited during busy periods. Contact us once your travel dates are clear, especially if you need a larger vehicle or a long rental. A manual car is a different transmission choice, so check that your confirmation states automatic if this is essential for you.
What should you check before driving away?
Before leaving, take a moment to locate the gear selector, parking brake, lights and windscreen controls. Ask our team about anything unfamiliar while the car is parked. An automatic does not necessarily mean an electric car, and the controls can differ between models.
